Preparation

In a pan, bring the cup of water to the boil
Add the powdered jaggery and stir the mixture for a few minutes to make a syrup.
(To check if the syrup has reached the right consistency, add a few drops of the jaggery syrup into a bowl of water and gently swirl it with your fingers – you should be able to pick it up with your forefinger and thumb)
Pour the jaggery syrup little by little on to the roasted peanuts swiftly stirring the mixture through.
Enough syrup has been added when the puffed rice has been covered lightly with the syrup
Sprinkle the cardamom and immediately make it into orange sized balls

This is a great snack that can be eaten over a period of time!

Note: To make the balls, rub some rice flour on both hands, pick up the peanut  jaggery mix and gently roll it in the palms of your hands to make it into a ball.
